I am feeling very spoiled when it comes to the English countryside and other nature spots. Really though, how lovely is Elsham Gardens & Country Park? This gorgeous find was the product of a Google Maps search for an outdoor spot to meet with members of another household (i.e. my brother-in-law and his lovely partner). We needed a destination roughly in between our two home bases. The green spaces here surprise me in how they are laid out. Although there are definite paths and some signage, it feels like one can access the surroundings more organically. You feel like you have stepped into a wild wood in some storybook, and that you can really dig in and explore.
My American sensibilities yearned to see young, beautiful people in period dress courting with constant supervision nearby during this visit. You will find none of that in these images, but I hope you will feel a touch of the beauty we enveloped by.
